Bed bugs cannot fly or jump, but they are great climbers. This picture was taken at a 30 unit hotel in Stockton. The hotel was infested with bed bugs. We performed our bed bug treatment at this hotel and after a couple days and a follow up spot treatment, they are bed bug free.
Notice that the bed bug is high on the drapes, close to the top. This is a typical place to find bed bugs as they love to climb to the highest point of drapes, ceilings, shades etc...
If a bed or couch or pillow is touching the drape; that's like the perfect freeway system for a bed bug. They can slide right down grab a meal and head back home completely unnoticed.
